What a useless talk!

I attended an event today relating to the property sector. The talk was about the Budget and property taxes. I wasn't interested, so why did I go?

I WENT TO NETWORK!

I showed a few nervous people how to break the ice.I did this by introducing one person to another ...then moving on where approriate.

I met Paul who asked me "Will you are so high profile for a small organisation, how do you do it?"

I explained and gave away lots of free and useful information. He showed interest in knowing more. I have followed him up already with an email - SPEED STUNS- and hope to start doing paid work in due course.

LESSONS TO LEARN
  1. If you don't go, you'll never know

  2. Always be generous with your advice if you think someone will benefit

  3. Play 'host' even if you're a guest at an event

HOW TO SAY THANK YOU

The best way in the world to say thank you is by sending a hand-written card. I got one today from a lovely lady. In fact not only is she very nice she represnts a large law firm and I will ask her if I can use her kind words as a testimonial.

IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW GOOD YOU SAY YOU ARE BUT WHEN A THIRD PARTY SAYS IT...YOUR PROSPECTS WILL BELIEVE IT
